The Creative Manifesto, 2025.

A call to arms.

So much more than a mission statement, a brand manifesto is a call to arms. An emotive expression of the heart and soul of a brand. It’s what it fights for in the world. What follows is a little rough around the edges. A first draft, written freely, without edits or polish. Human-made. As the manifesto itself demands.

I wrote this quickly, halfway through drafting my post “How to Craft a Brand Manifesto That Actually Means Something,” sparked by recent conversations with clients and creatives. There’s a lot of fear right now that tech and AI will “take away” our creativity and its value. I don’t have all the answers, but here’s what I do know: while the world around us is changing fast, the need for human creativity will never fade. In fact, our need to feel, connect, and create will only grow stronger.

This quick, raw, unpolished manifesto is both a reminder and a rallying cry: let’s create for creation’s sake because creativity isn’t just something we do. It’s who we are.
